Talkie by Gooey Audio now free regular price nineteen dollars ninety nine cents
Expiry: June 11th
Gooey Audio has released Talkie, a formant filter plugin designed to reshape incoming audio into vowel-like timbres. For a limited time, the plugin is available free; its regular price is $19.99. It is offered in VST3, AU, and AAX formats for Windows and macOS, with native support for 64-bit Apple Silicon systems.
Talkie processes signals through modeled acoustic layers that emulate the resonant frequencies of the human voice. A single, morphable slider provides control across five vowel pathways, and a real-time frequency response display shows how the filtering affects the spectrum during use.
The five vowel modes provide distinct response curves and can be continuously morphed via the main control:
- AYA: Broad transformations with noticeable contrast between open and closed vowel shapes.
- AE: Emphasizes the midrange for clearer, brighter articulations.
- OA: Deeper resonances suited to sources with more low-frequency content.
- EO: Smooth transitions tailored to sustained material such as pads.
- IE: Tighter, more defined vowel responses that align well with rhythmic parts.
The plugin is intended for adding vocal-like character to harmonically rich or otherwise static sources. Typical applications include morphing simple waveforms such as sawtooth oscillators, reshaping synth pads, or adding articulation to basslines. Automating the main slider can introduce evolving motion or rhythmic gestures. It can be combined with other processing, such as saturation or sample-rate reduction, for additional tonal variation.
Interface functions include a direct bypass control from the upper icon area, local user folders for saving custom presets, scroll buttons to navigate preset files, and standard keyboard shortcuts for preset undo and redo. Operational hints are provided along the lower interface footer to assist with parameter changes.
Key details:
- Formant filter with five morphable vowel pathways (AYA, AE, OA, EO, IE).
- Single-slider control with real-time frequency response display.
- Designed to emulate human voice formants via modeled acoustic layers.
- Works effectively on frequency-rich signals such as sawtooth waves.
- VST3, AU, and AAX formats for Windows and macOS (64-bit), including Apple Silicon Universal.
- Free for a limited time; regular price $19.99.
AIR Music Tech offers Jura Chorus as free download
Expiry: August 2nd
AIR Music Tech is offering Jura Chorus as a free download from June 1 to August 2.
Jura Chorus is a stereo chorus effect plug-in inspired by 1980s hardware. It provides three operating modes: a lighter modulation setting for subtle movement, a deeper modulation setting, and a combined mode that blends both. A mix control allows adjustment of dry/wet balance, and a switchable modeled noise component recreates the character of the original unit.
The effect is designed for use in DAWs and with Akai Professional hardware. Applications include pads, ambient textures, chorused electric guitars, bass, vocals, and other sources where modulation-based width or motion is desired.

Turnt Plugins releases Holding Hands saturation plugin for Mac and Windows free to download for now
Expiry: Unknown
Turnt Plugins has released Holding Hands, a multi-band saturation plugin for macOS and Windows. The plugin is currently available as a free download.
Holding Hands provides five bands of parametric saturation, allowing per-band control over how harmonics are generated across the frequency spectrum. Each band can be configured with one of 17 saturation algorithms and one of five channel modes.
The plugin is offered in AU and VST3 formats. It is designed for use on individual tracks, groups, or full mixes where frequency-targeted saturation or harmonic coloration is required.
- Five bands of parametric saturation
- Seventeen selectable saturation algorithms per band
- Five channel modes per band
- AU and VST3 formats
- macOS and Windows support
- Currently free to download
Holding Hands can be applied to shape tone by emphasizing or softening specific frequency ranges, or to introduce harmonics for creative effects. Per-band configuration makes it suitable for detailed processing on vocals, drums, guitars, synths, and buses.
Availability and pricing are subject to change, as the developer lists the plugin as free “for now.”
Crow Hill releases free Orchestral Bass Slide plugin for Windows and Mac from the Vaults series
Expiry: Unknown
Crow Hill has released Orchestral Bass Slides, a free plugin for Windows and Mac in the Vaults series. The release is dated May 7, 2026 and authored by composer Christian Henson.
The instrument presents a curated set of orchestral bass slides recorded in a large concert hall. The source material comes from Henson’s private collection and focuses on low-register glissandi performed in an orchestral setting.
A notable design choice is the use of a dedicated effects macro repurposed to select among the recorded slide performances. This control provides quick access to the different slide options directly from the main interface.
The library emphasizes very long slide performances to reduce reliance on time-stretching when scoring extended gestures. This approach is intended to accommodate cues that require sustained low-end movement without heavy processing.
Typical uses include building transitions, creating tension swells, accenting structural moments, and adding low-register motion in orchestral or hybrid scores. The content is focused specifically on bass slides rather than a broader effects set.
Orchestral Bass Slides is distributed as part of the Vaults Free Range and is available at no cost for both Windows and Mac systems.
