BYOD from ChowDSP is a FREE Distortion Effects Plugin

They just released their new plugin “BYOD“, short for “Build-Your-Own-Distortion“, and as per Chow-tradition, their plugin-realm is a moneyless society meaning BYOD is forever FREE!

BYOD is aimed at guitar distortion, with the ability to create your own custom guitar effects. BYOD is a modular-like host environment with several separate effect-processors that can be hooked up into a processing chain that routes the signal between the processors. The separate processors can be chained in series and parallel, and hooking them up and releasing them is as easy as plugin-pie.

Each has similar control, making for uniform ease-ability and efficiency, still very important to every guitarist and DAW-worker out there. The result is an extremely useful plugin that can generate the most inspiring effects imaginable, by which the bounds of one’s imagination are only constricted to the number of processors one can cable together inside the bowels of the internal BYOD-space.
