Caelum Audio are relatively new on the developer-playfield. So new in fact that they cannot offer the VST2 format. If you run a DAW that runs only VST2, you should consider this before buying.
If VST3 is not an issue in your Windows DAW, then read on, because these guys have a nice surprise for you, namely ‘Flux Mini‘, a FREE modulation plugin with a few useful tricks up its sleeve. As a permanent freebie, any donation is still highly appreciated if you find it useful an nice to use.
Flux Mini gives you a visual graph to sculpt any custom modulation that can drive either the amplitude, or a low- or high-pass filter that can be synced and emphasized with resonance and balanced with a mix knob. In its simplicity, it offers immediate ease of use in setups from mild and simple side-chains to insane modulation-madness. Included are also 20 presets to get your inspiration going.
This could be considered a simplified variant of devices such as Duck from Devious Machines, but this can be used completely free and is not much less diverse or flexible. Definitely recommended for those looking for a free and easy to use use modulation or sidechain solution.
This is available for Windows 7 and up in the VST3 format, and then they offer AU3 for iOS 10.11 and up, for and iPadOS. Please refer to your DAW to check compatibility. Then after download, head the command from Caelum Audio, to “flux it up and have some fluxing fun!”
Flux Mini from Caelum Audio is FREE forever!
