Now, mistake not the fact that there are some hidden gems to be had here, like for instance the awesome Reelbus, a tape machine emulation that offers a genuinely top-notch sound that honestly surpasses most if not all low and mid-level alternatives, and can even compete with some of the really expensive ones. Another such hidden beaut is the BusCompressor that really shines in any master chain or BUS, with again an extremely qualitative sound and a few functionalities that take it an extra notch upward. The deesser is equally useful to tome even the most nasty sibilance, and truly, these plugins all embody the same awesomeness.
Formerly already way too cheap for their own good, now they are even better! Honestly, if not already, try them and notice the sense of solace in using them with extreme ease to obtain high quality in your projects and post-productions. Because in between their simplicity and their quality, they still offer heaps of value. Sure, there are ‘better’ alternatives for any one of them, but they are usually not cheap, let alone free. As of now, considering the (lack of any) price tag, you’d find it difficult to do better.
