Taken from the PCM playback feature of the iconic RYM2612 FM Synthesizer, this bitcrusher effect plugin is an 8-bit decimation unit aimed at pure simplicity. And, it’s free! Whether this plugin truly is the ’90s new vintage’ is debatable, however, it does shine a tiny tad at getting those sweet subtle vintagy imperfections into your sound. Use it on synth-sounds, layer it with other FX, mangle beats or add subtle fizz to a techno-kick. They say the sky is the limit. With this it still is, but you’ll have a lot of fun getting there.
