Puncher 2 is one of those, a neat Multi-effect plugin designed to deliver power and punch to whatever bone you throw at it. With a Transient Shaper, a Multiband Compressor and a Parallel Compressor, what you get is simple: intense power and perfect punch.

Effectively three units chucked into a single package, a unit is born with the three necessities to create the perfect punch and intensity. The transient shaper has a main intensity knob and a few advanced settings to sculpt your transients like a professional carver perfecting his art with just a few added slices. The Multiband compressor offers a 4-band split with subtractive IIR filters and a logarithmic attack and release to smooth the compression in an analogue fashion.

The Parallel compressor can make the multiband compression more outspoken and obvious by increasing the ratio, and has things like an automatic RMS time control and knee width control function so that the effect can be fine-tuned from smooth to aggressive and from digital to analogue.
