Analog Obsession has launched its free Color Bundle, which includes two plugins: Distox and Prebox. These plugins are available for both Windows and Mac users.
Distox is a multi-mode distortion plugin that features a tube and an op-amp circuit. It includes different op-amps and tubes, an input and output range of -30 to 30dB, a high-pass filter (HPF) from 20Hz to 2kHz, a low-pass filter (LPF) from 20kHz to 10kHz, and two circuits with three op-amps and four tubes.
On the other hand, Prebox is a preamp-distortion box, which has been fully updated. It provides 11 selectable preamp models, +/- 24dB input gain with automatic gain control (AGC), +/- 24dB output, a selectable HPF (FLAT – 80Hz – 300Hz – 300+80Hz), and a selectable LPF (FLAT – 3kHz).
Both plugins come with a resizable interface and an Oversampling feature that can be engaged by clicking on the Analog Obsession label. They are available in VST3, AU, and AAX Native formats for Mac (10.11 – 13.X, Intel/Apple Silicon) and Windows (10 – 11). The Mac versions require a graphic card that supports “Metal” and the Windows versions require a graphic card that supports “OpenGL”.
