BFD Drums has released an update to the BFD Player, bringing it to version 1.2. The update includes additional drum kits, mix presets, and grooves, along with enhanced editing capabilities. BFD Player is a free drum plugin that provides high-quality drum kits, grooves, and mixing options for music producers and songwriters.
The software is user-friendly and offers real drum sounds, professional grooves, and an easy-to-use mixer. It comes with pro mixed kits and grooves and can be expanded with a growing collection of sound libraries. BFD Player includes 340 grooves created by top drummers, which are fully searchable based on genre, tempo, and even leading hand. The software also features an inbuilt mixer for crafting a professional-sounding drum track.
The kit piece browser feature in BFD Player allows users to swap drum components with alternatives from diverse expansion packs. The free version of BFD Player comes with a 5GB library, a 3D kit view with switchable drums, a simplified mixing experience, and a groove browser with filtering mechanics. It also includes a library of 340 drum patterns and a collection of production-ready presets. The ‘Original Mix’ preset gives users access to all channels.
The system requirements for the software include Windows 10 version 1909 and above or macOS 10.14 to macOS 13 Ventura. It also requires 2GB free disk space (5.25GB for all content recommended), 4GB RAM (8GB recommended), and a dual-core 2.5GHz CPU. An internet connection is required to authorize the software.
BFD Player also offers expansion packs such as the London 70’s and Dark Mahogany packs. The London 70’s pack pays homage to the era of iconic rock legends such as Led Zeppelin, while the Dark Mahogany pack provides the resounding, commanding presence of a Q Drums Mahogany drumkit.
