Bogren Digital has recently launched a new offering for music producers and enthusiasts. The company has released Krimh Drums Free Edition, a free heavy metal acoustic drum library designed for Kontakt Player. The library offers a range of album-ready drums for metal productions, providing a fresh and modern sound for any digital audio workstation (DAW).
The Krimh Drums Free Edition has been sound-designed by the renowned metal producer Jens Bogren, who has previously worked with bands like Arch Enemy, Opeth, and Kreator. The drum sounds have been created in collaboration with the exceptional drummer Kerim “Krimh” Lechner, a member of the symphonic death metal band Septicflesh. Lechner has previously lent his drumming skills to acts such as Behemoth, Decapitated, and Dååth.
The software instrument incorporates advanced algorithms to add realism to programmed drums. It also includes MIDI grooves performed by Krimh. This free edition is compatible with any major DAW with the free Kontakt Player by Native Instruments.
The drum sounds in Krimh Drums Free Edition were mixed exclusively inside of Kontakt. The free edition sounds just as good as the full version, including everything required to create exceptional rock and metal drum tracks. However, the full version offers additional features.
The free edition includes one snare, a plastic beater for kicks, three clear toms, and seven cymbals. It also features a static mixer with a mix-ready preset and twelve MIDI grooves. In comparison, the full version includes two snares, three options for kicks, five toms with two variations, eleven cymbals, and a full mixer with effects. It also has over 100 MIDI grooves by Krimh, thirteen presets by producer Jens Bogren, and multi-channel out.
For those interested in exploring the world of heavy metal acoustic drum sounds, the Krimh Drums Free Edition by Bogren Digital is a valuable resource. It offers a professional-quality drum instrument made specifically for metal, providing a unique opportunity to create fresh and modern sounding metal drums in any DAW.
