Fanan Team has announced the release of Kitton 3, a free GM compatible drum machine for Windows. This third-generation drum machine offers a variety of features designed to make GM compatible drum midi files or tracks sound more realistic.

Kitton 3 comes with 20 fully-featured drumkits, each carefully crafted for optimal sound. The kits include a variety of styles such as standard, power, analog, modern, jazz, rock, pop, hip hop, soul, and room kits. Each kit includes elements such as low kicks, general kicks, general snares, secondary snares, sticks, full tom sets, rides, high crashes, general crashes, and claps.
A new feature in Kitton 3 is the “LS” or “layers simulation”. This feature uses synthesis to simulate real sampled 127 sample layers with only one sample. This keeps the plugin’s footprint small while still providing a realistic sound. The strike section is another new feature that allows for the softening of the attack of the element when necessary.
Kitton 3 allows for the editing of each drum element separately straight from the main panel. Users can set the gain and the pitch of each element, apply a round-robin system and lo-pass\hi pass filters, control the length, and even morph the elements with other elements of the same category. The drum machine also offers a built-in equalizer, saturator, Zelda filter, compressor, hall reverb, and delay for enhancing the drum sounds.
Other features of Kitton 3 include a dedicated pitch shifter for each drum element, an innovative round-robin with three modes, hi-pass \ lo-pass for each element, and the ability to morph elements with other elements in the category. There is also midi learning for every significant knob\button, individual volume control for each element, an individual pitch-shifter for each element, and an individual strike adjuster for softening each element.
Kitton 3 is available for free download. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in music production to access a high-quality drum machine at no cost. To download Kitton 3, visit the Fanan Team’s website.
