Fluid Chords allows users to bend from the simplest triad to the most complex voicings, offering a unique way to create harmonies. It also provides the ability to create unique pitch effects, such as chord risers. The software is designed to be a sound designer’s playground, enabling the creation of harmonies that have never been heard before, like bending from a single note to a whole chord.
For the Fluid Chords software to function optimally, it requires MPE-compatible synths/samplers. However, for those who do not have these, free MPE synths like Surge XT are available for download.
The software is compatible with a range of MPE-supported synths including Xfer Serum, Roli Equator, Surge XT, Arturia V9 collection, Arturia Pigments 2 & above, Arturia SQ80V, UVI Falcon, Kilohearts Phase Plant, Cherry Audio (Dreamsynth, DCO – 106 etc), Spectrasonics Omnisphere (requires manual setup), Matt Tytel Vital, Fxpansion Strobe2, Cypher2, Madrona Aalto, Audio Damage Quanta, Logic Pro X & Ableton Live stock synths (using standalone app only), and much more.q
In terms of DAW compatibility, Fluid Chords can be used with Ableton Live 9 and above, Bitwig Studio, Logic Pro X, Cubase, FL Studio, Studio One, Reaper, MainStage, Digital Performer, and Tracktion Waveform. The software is available in AU (Mac only), VST3, VST, Standalone App formats and is compatible with Intel, AMD, and Apple M1 hardware.
