As a Christmas gift, Acustica Audio are currently giving away Cerise for free, and this until February 14th, 2021. After this date, your free copy will automatically turn into a fully licensed product at no cost.
Cerise is Acustica Audio’s brand new software model of a British-style channel-strip, emulating a vintage transformer-based hardware unit. It delivers a quality-sound but requires quite a bit of juice to run smoothly. As is the general rule with devices from Acustica Audio, Cerise will deliver a significant performance hit to slower processors. So fair warning, if your computer is as vintage as the unit Cerise emulates, its performance may suffer a tiny tad.
But do not let this minor detail create any doubt in your mind, because there is no doubt that Cerise tastes cherry-sweet with a vintagy after-taste like well-aged wine. With Stereo, EQ, Compression, and Pre-amp controls between an input- and output-stage with Trim and Gain, Drive-indicators and enough flexibility to fit into any channel or effect-chain, Cerise could easily add a nice dynamic flavor to your sound.
To get your free copy, you need to create a free user account on their website and install the Aquarius manager (see link below). Once installed, run Aquarius to find the install button for Cerise on the start page.
Cerise supports Windows and Mac, and is available in VST, VST3, AU and AAX formats. 32-bit installers are included but must be manually enabled in the Aquarius application.
Acustica Audio gives away Cerise for FREE until February 14th, 2021. Available via the Aquarius installer.
