MURST Instruments is offering its Coda sample pack for free. This pack is a collaboration between Murst and modular artist Cléry, focusing on the grey area between music and sound design. It provides over 350 loops and one-shots, all recorded at 120bpm, that can be used to start a track from scratch or build complex risers and layered sound design.

The Coda sample pack also includes 35 presets for Ableton Live. Users can manipulate, layer or trigger the audio using a computer/laptop with their favourite DAW, an audio sampler such as the Digitakt, or a granular processor like the Tasty Chips GR-1.
The pack is organized into four folders for easy navigation. The “Drum” folder contains pounding modular drums, with loops and one-shots created entirely with the Cléry modular system. The “Texture” folder is an exploration of granular synthesis, modular sound design elements, and drones. The “Synth” folder features West Coast atonal loops and more traditional arp and lead loops. Lastly, the “Ambience” folder is a selection of re-worked pieces of granular sound design from Murst’s instrument Glass.
This offer from MURST Instruments provides a valuable resource for music producers and sound designers looking for unique and versatile sound elements to incorporate into their work. The Coda sample pack’s focus on the intersection of music and sound design allows users to explore exciting nuances in texture and timbre.
