Reflex Acoustics has introduced AutomaticLite, a free automatic compressor plugin designed for both Mac and Windows users. This new product is a simplified version of the AutomaticDynamic plugin, and it is designed to be easily calibrated to your material. The plugin does not require adjustments for threshold or make-up gain as these are automatic. This ensures a consistent dynamic signature even as your material gets louder or quieter.
AutomaticLite comes with a range of features. These include an automatic compression threshold with a “Compression” knob to control how far the threshold rides below the peaks in your signal. The plugin also offers an adjustable compression ratio (1–4x) and attack/release times. Additionally, it features a simple automatic gate with an adjustable range of up to 6dB.
The plugin also provides parallel processing via gain-matched dry/wet mix control. It automatically adjusts the make-up gain to match perceived loudness. Furthermore, it supports mid-side processing (100% unlinked).
AutomaticLite can be utilized on your master bus or on individual audio tracks. It is available in VST3 format for PC, and VST3 & AU formats for Mac. Reflex Acoustics has also announced that AAX support will be introduced soon. To use the plugin, you need a compatible Digital Audio Workstation or another plugin host. The plugin operates with zero latency. However, it does not have external sidechain capability.
