UnplugRed, a renowned software company, has recently launched a new convolution reverb plugin named SunBurnt. This innovative product is available for free and is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. SunBurnt is a distinctive reverb plugin that offers users the freedom to draw characteristics in the form of a curve, allowing for a high level of customization.

With SunBurnt, users can create a reverse reverb with an oscillating lowpass, which begins panned left and concludes panned right. This feature enables the creation of a unique reverb with a tail that mimics a “wub wub wub wub” sound, with the end of the tail pitched up an octave. The plugin also provides the ability to sync to beats per minute (BPM) by holding control while dragging the length knob.
SunBurnt also offers more chaotic and textural results by reducing the density parameter. Furthermore, it can enter a multi-tap delay mode when the density knob is turned all the way down. However, it is important to note that due to the extensive use of convolution, SunBurnt can be CPU heavy. If users encounter any issues, it is recommended to increase the buffer size to improve performance.
The plugin is supported on Patreon by users helloitscrash, Zayne, and Adrian Smith. UnplugRed offers both a free version and a paid version of the plugin. The paid version, which is available for $5/month or more, comes without the banner at the bottom. This version can be accessed via UnplugRed’s Patreon page.
There is no expiry date for this offer. Interested users are encouraged to download the plugin and explore its unique features. For those seeking more advanced features and a banner-free interface, the paid version is also available for subscription on UnplugRed’s Patreon page.
