Vast Dynamics has recently released an update to Vaporizer2, their free hybrid wavetable synthesizer sampler plugin for both Windows and Mac. The update brings the software to version 3.4.0, and it is available as open-source software under GPL3 at github.com.
This latest version of Vaporizer2 comes with a host of new features and improvements. Notably, it now supports native Mac M1/M2 silicon, making it compatible with the latest generation of Apple devices. Linux users will also benefit from the newly added LV2 Linux support.
Another significant enhancement in this update is the microtuning support, which includes AnaMark Tuning files (.TUN support). This allows musicians to experiment with different tuning systems and scales, opening up new creative possibilities.
Vaporizer2 v3.4.0 also introduces a new 32 note polyphony mode, which allows musicians to play up to 32 notes simultaneously. This feature is particularly useful for creating complex harmonies and thick textures in music.
In addition to these new features, Vast Dynamics has made major performance, stability, and GUI improvements to Vaporizer2. The update also includes additional factory presets and improved installers, making it easier for users to get up and running with the software.
Described as “probably the most versatile wavetable synthesizer”, Vaporizer2 v3.4.0 is available for free.
