Yooz Music has released an updated version of its BL-303, a free bass synth plugin. This plugin, now in version 3.0, is an emulation of the legendary Roland TB303. The update includes a number of enhancements and improvements, making it even more appealing to music producers and enthusiasts.

BL-303 is described as a contribution synth with Big Love to the Roland TB-303. This update brings an improved and resizable user interface, making it easier for users to navigate and operate the plugin. The filter has been fine-tuned to sound and behave even closer to the original TB-303. In addition to these, a few minor performance and sound improvements have been implemented. The plugin now has native support for both Mac Arm and Intel processors, making it more versatile and compatible with different systems.
The sequencer part of the plugin, including the slide and the accent, is handled with midi notes velocity. For optimal use, it is recommended to shorten the note length slightly so it ends just before the next note, similar to the TB. The Velocity can be used to control the Accent and the Glide.
The original TB-303 was created in the early 80s as a replacement for base guitarists. Although it didn’t gain much success initially, it was rediscovered at the end of the 80s when house and techno music started to emerge. The BL-303 aims to bring back the unique sound and feel of the TB-303, making it accessible to modern music producers.
While the BL-303 is available for free, Yooz Music welcomes donations to support the development of this plugin and other audio software. This allows users to contribute to the continued improvement and innovation of these tools.
The system requirements for the BL-303 plugin are Windows 10+ and MacOS 10.13+ Arm / Intel. Users are invited to download the plugin and experience the updated features and improvements.
