KORG M1

The KORG M1 synthesizer, first released in 1988, became an influential part of the late 80’s and 90’s music scene. This particular music workstation, known as an “all-in-one unit”, introduced an 8-track sequencer that revolutionized the composing and production methods of musicians worldwide. Its synthesis system with digital multi-effects, based on high-quality PCM, offered a unique sound that defined the era.

The KORG Collection M1 V2 is a modern upgrade of the 2005 M1 software. It introduces a much-desired high-resolution and scalable interface. The preset sounds include all 3,300 programs, incorporating those from the expansion ROM cards, offering the legendary M1 sounds through the latest software as a plug-in.

The M1 was equipped with the AI (advanced integrated) synthesis system that used PCM waveforms and a digital effects processor. The KORG Collection M1 perfectly replicates this, providing a comprehensive reproduction of the AI Synthesis System. The original circuitry of the M1 has been completely replicated in software, with careful adjustments made to obtain the sound of the original instrument.

Furthermore, the KORG Collection M1 interface has been refined for modern Retina & 4K environments. With support for six levels of scalability, usability is significantly improved. The M1 also includes a program browser for quickly searching sounds, and an EASY mode for instant access to important parameters.
