Softube Weiss Deess

The Softube Weiss Deess is an essential tool for any audio engineer looking to tame sibilance in a lead vocal, rein in a sharp-sounding hi-hat, or reduce harshness while mastering. Heralded as the industry gold-standard, this digital hardware de-essing unit is a favorite in top mastering studios across the globe. This product is available as a standalone plug-in or as part of the Weiss DS1-MK3 collection.

With the Weiss Deess, you have two completely independent bands at your disposal. This is a significant feature as almost no sibilant has a single-frequency focus, especially when dealing with complex material or mastering applications.

Another notable feature is the variety of filter shapes and excellent band-width control. This allows you to target precisely what you need to deal with, without causing collateral damage. Additionally, a low-latency mode allows you to de-ess in tracking, saving you from tedious editing tasks during the mix.
