Pubbas Launches Free Sheepadoodle Phaser Plugin for VST3 and AU
Expiry: None

Pubbas has announced the release of the Sheepadoodle Phaser, a free audio plugin available in VST3 and AU formats. This plugin is designed to provide users with real-time spectral visualization and a responsive graphical user interface.
The Sheepadoodle Phaser offers straightforward controls and features modulated distortion that tracks the phaser’s comb-filter frequencies. Users can explore both classic vintage tones and new sonic textures.
Key components of the plugin include a phaser spectrum visualization tool, which allows users to see how the plugin alters sound. The intuitive controls make it easy to achieve desired tones, while the modulated distortion provides unique sound variations by tracking comb-filter notches.
The functionality of the Sheepadoodle Phaser includes applying frequency-specific phase shifts to audio signals. This creates distinctive notches in the sound when mixed with the original signal. Users have digital control over various parameters such as notch count, spacing, center frequency, and stereo width.
The modulation controls include:
- Rate: Controls the pace of the phaser’s sweep and can be synchronized with BPM or set in Hz.
- Depth: Adjusts modulation depth on center frequencies of all-pass filters.
- Stereo: Introduces phase offset between left and right-channel LFO for stereo effects.
The distortion controls are as follows:
- Anger: Adds frequency-modulated distortion for more aggressive sounds.
- Spray: Defines distortion bandwidth that follows phaser movement.
The phaser controls include:
- Spread: Manages notch filter distribution across frequency bands.
- Feedback: Adjusts resonance strength from subtle effects to resonant self-oscillation.
- Notches: Alters the number of notch filters for varying complexity in phasing effects.
- Center: Modifies central frequency of notch filters.
The changelog for this product is as follows:
- v1.0.1: Added AU support, fine-tuned modulation skew, fixed mono output buffer issue, reduced self-oscillation, removed noise when changing notches, GUI improvements
- v0.0.11: Update modulation skew
- v0.0.10: Reduce self-oscillation
- v0.0.9: First Public Beta
The developer behind this plugin is Pubbas, and they can be contacted at info@pubbas.com for further information or inquiries regarding Sheepadoodle Phaser. The release year for this product is 2025.
