Eldoraudio Introduces Free Piano Audio to MIDI Converter Online Service
Expiry: None
Eldoraudio has launched a new online service called the Piano Audio to MIDI Converter. This free-to-use tool is designed to convert piano audio files in MP3 or WAV formats into MIDI files.
Users can upload their audio files either by dragging and dropping them into the interface or by browsing their device for the desired file. The service focuses on transcribing the piano part of the audio into a MIDI format, allowing for further manipulation and editing.
The resulting MIDI files offer users the ability to edit notes, timings, and velocities with ease. This functionality enables corrections of pitch errors, tempo adjustments, and enhancements using virtual instruments to improve sound quality. The conversion process leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies for precise transcription.
The tool employs GPU-accelerated neural networks alongside advanced signal processing techniques to achieve its results. However, there are some usage limitations: the maximum allowable size for an audio file is 50 MB, and if a file exceeds 12 minutes in length, only the first 12 minutes will be converted.
It is important to note that the converter does not specify a tempo for the output MIDI files. As a result, these files may default to 120 BPM when imported into digital audio workstations (DAWs). Users are advised to adjust their DAW settings accordingly to ensure that timing aligns with the original audio recording.
The tool has been trained on an extensive dataset of piano recordings to ensure high accuracy in transcription. Eldoraudio encourages users to test and evaluate its performance against other available tools.
Yg331 Launches Free Relief EQ Plugin for Windows and Mac
Expiry: None
Yg331 has launched a new audio plugin, Relief EQ, available for free download. This equalizer is designed for everyday audio tasks and can be used on both individual tracks and master buses.
Relief EQ operates with double precision 64-bit internal processing. It supports double precision input and output if the system allows. The plugin processes audio at sampling rates of 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz by upsampling to 88.2 kHz or 96 kHz, respectively, with a latency of 17 samples.
The plugin is compatible with VST3 and AUv2 formats. It can be used on Mac OS X version 10.13 or later, supporting both Intel and Apple Silicon architectures, as well as Windows 10 or later systems.
To install Relief EQ on Windows, users should unzip the ‘Win.zip’ file from the latest release and copy its contents to ‘C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3’. For MacOS installation, users need to unzip ‘MacOS.zip’ from the latest release and place the VST3 file in ‘/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3’ and the component in ‘/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components’. If installation issues occur on MacOS, security settings may need adjustment using terminal commands provided in the documentation.
The plugin is distributed under a GPL-3.0 license.
User support is available through issue reporting on the GitHub repository page associated with Relief EQ’s development project.
Yg331 Launches Free Relief Compressor Plugin for Win and Mac
Expiry: None
The Relief Compressor, developed by Yg331, is now available as a free plugin for both Windows and Mac users. This compressor is designed for everyday audio tasks, ranging from mixing individual tracks to processing on the master bus. It operates under the GPL-3.0 license.
Compatible with VST3 and AUv2 formats, the Relief Compressor supports Mac OS X 10.13 or later, including both Intel and Apple Silicon architectures. It also runs on Windows 10 or later versions.
The plugin features double precision 64-bit internal processing and supports double precision input/output where applicable. Users can choose between Peak/RMS and Linear/Logarithmic options for the detector path.
A dedicated sidechain-EQ page is included, offering a 2-band EQ with pass filter and shelf selectable options. The compressor has a fixed look-ahead time of 0.5 milliseconds using Kaiser-Bessel FIR as the lookahead smoother.
The plugin offers various detector types for different applications:
- Peak Detector: Commonly used in track compressors within consoles.
- RMS Detector: Provides smooth detection suitable for buses and mastering with a semi-true-RMS approach.
- Linear Detector: Measures levels in linear gain scale, allowing fast peaks to pass through unaltered.
- Logarithmic Detector: Calculates gain reduction in logarithmic decibels, applying level envelopes to gain reduction effectively.
APU Software Launches Free APU Spectrum Analyzer Plugin and Standalone Application for Windows and Mac
Expiry: None
APU Software has released the APU Spectrum Analyzer, a free spectrum analysis tool available as both a plugin and standalone application for Windows and Mac. This tool supports various FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) configuration options, allowing users to adjust the FFT window type and size.
The APU Spectrum Analyzer offers real-time spectrum monitoring with adjustable history size. Users can load external files for comprehensive spectrum analysis. Key features include the ability to switch between standard dB ranges or auto-range, view the frequency spectrum in log, linear, or note-based scale, and use histogram hold for measuring long-term frequency response.
The tool also provides adjustable bucket size independent of the FFT size and includes a snapshot functionality for frequency response reference.
System requirements for the APU Spectrum Analyzer include macOS 10.14 (x64, ARM) and Windows 10 (x86, x64) with OpenGL 3.2 support. It is available as a standalone application and in VST, AU, and AAX formats compatible with Pro Tools 11+.
