FedDSP releases Morso distortion plugin for Windows and Mac as a free download
Expiry: March 17th
FedDSP has released Morso, a dual-voiced distortion plug-in for macOS and Windows. The plug-in is currently available as a free download until 17 March 2026, with a regular price of £30 thereafter. The displayed price includes VAT and applicable sales taxes.

Morso offers two distortion voicings selectable via a switch: one aimed at vintage fullness and another emphasizing aggressive top-end clarity. It is designed for guitar use (including before a virtual or real amp) and for broader mix applications and sound design.
The processor includes expanded tone-shaping controls beyond a simple drive workflow. Users can shape the signal pre and post distortion, apply flexible EQ, and adjust polarity. Dedicated high-pass and low-pass filters allow targeted frequency control.
Processing is zero-latency and optimized for low CPU overhead. The licensing is offline-capable, with no iLok, dongles, or persistent internet connection required.
- Distortion architecture: dual voicings via mode switch (vintage vs. bright/aggressive)
- Filtering and EQ: pre/post filtering, high-pass and low-pass filters, flexible EQ
- Utility: polarity flip
- Performance: zero-latency processing, lightweight system load
- Licensing: offline activation; up to three simultaneous activations per user
Formats and compatibility include VST3, Audio Unit (AU), and AAX on macOS, and VST3 and AAX on Windows. The plug-in runs natively on Apple Silicon (M1–M5) and Intel Macs, with Rosetta compatibility if needed. It works in DAWs that support these formats.
- macOS: 10.13 or higher (Intel or Apple Silicon)
- Windows: 10 or 11 (64-bit)
- Minimum: 2 GB RAM, 30 MB free disk space
Typical applications include thickening guitar tracks, adding weight and density to drums and loops, introducing controlled grit to vocals, and increasing texture on bass DI signals. The design aims to provide subtle enhancement through to more assertive drive while remaining manageable in a mix context.
A trial version is available with all features enabled; it periodically inserts a short silence. A user manual is provided online.
Ink Slide Now Free from Ink Audio Normally Sixty Dollars
Expiry: March 19th
Ink Audio’s Ink Slide is a sampled slide guitar library for Kontakt, offered as a free download for a limited two-week period. The regular price is $60.
The instrument was recorded with a glass slide on the neck pickup and processed through a Boss CS-3 and an 1176 compressor, producing a mellow, textured tone. It is designed for detailed slide gestures and understated movement within a mix.
The library is organized around two workflows: time-synced phrase sets and direct, keyswitched articulations.
- 21 sets of diatonic, tempo-synced phrases adapt to the selected key.
- White keys trigger phrases that resolve to the played note.
- Black keys trigger complementary phrases derived from the major pentatonic scale.
- Pitch bend is mapped to the major scale to steer phrase endings in real time.
- Eight keyswitched slide articulations for hands-on control.
- Slide speeds: fast, slow, and short.
- Movement types: up-down, down-up, and a wide “wild” vibrato.
- Transition gestures: fast and slow falls for phrase endings.
- Velocity and the mod wheel combine to determine slide direction and speed on primary articulations.
Sound-shaping tools include envelope, filter, and drive controls. A convolution reverb using impulse responses is provided to position the instrument within different acoustic spaces.
Ink Slide can be used for cinematic cues, indie folk arrangements, and ambient sound design, where subtle slide motifs and sustained textures are needed.
Format and requirements:
- KONTAKT: Full version 6.8 or later (not compatible with the free Kontakt Player)
- Operating systems: macOS and Windows
Availability: free download for two weeks; regular price $60.
Epica Audio releases free Master Tape saturation plugin for Mac and Windows
Expiry: March 29th
Epica Audio has released Master Tape, a free tape-saturation plugin for macOS and Windows. The processor uses a single control to apply tape-style saturation and dynamics, and is also offered with an optional Master Tape Plus Bundle trial.

The plugin is designed to emulate characteristics associated with magnetic tape, including soft-knee compression, gentle frequency contouring, and harmonic generation. Its single knob ranges from subtle harmonic enhancement to more pronounced tape coloration. Noise, wow, and flutter are not modeled, aiming for a stable, artifact-free signal path.
Master Tape is intended for a variety of sources and buses. Typical applications include transient rounding and density on drums, midrange focus on bass, smoothing of vocal peaks, and mix-bus cohesion.
- Control scheme: single-knob tape saturation
- Processing: tape-style compression, harmonic enhancement, and soft frequency shaping
- Artifacts: no modeled noise, wow, or flutter
- Plugin formats: VST, AU, AAX
- Operating systems: macOS and Windows
- DAW compatibility: Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, FL Studio, GarageBand, WaveLab, LUNA, and others
- Availability: free plugin with an optional Plus Bundle trial
Safari Audio offers Gorilla Drive plugin free with promo code
Expiry: March 31st
Safari Audio is offering the Gorilla Drive plugin free with a promo code for a limited promotion. The regular price listed is $49. Gorilla Drive is a preamp and overdrive plugin modeled on classic germanium circuits, designed to provide harmonically rich saturation that remains controlled across a wide range of input levels.
The plugin centers on a Tone Tilt control that shifts the overall frequency balance with a single adjustment. Users can move from low-end emphasis to brighter, more forward voicings without separate EQ moves. Additional controls include input drive and output trim for gain staging, a blend control for parallel processing, and an auto gain function intended to maintain consistent perceived loudness while dialing in saturation.
- Germanium-style overdrive for harmonically rich saturation
- Tone Tilt control to shift the entire frequency balance
- Input Drive and Output Trim for precise gain staging
- Blend control for parallel saturation
- Auto Gain to help level-match settings
Typical uses include adding gentle preamp coloration, applying moderate drive for presence and density, and creating more aggressive distortion when pushed. The blend control enables parallel paths for retaining transients while introducing saturation, and Tone Tilt allows quick tonal balancing without separate filters or EQ.
Plugin formats and system requirements:
- Formats: macOS VST3, AU, AAX; Windows 64-bit VST3, AAX
- Processor: 1 GHz Intel Dual Core or AMD equivalent
- RAM: 4 GB minimum
- Operating systems: macOS 10.15 or later (11 or later recommended); Windows 8 or later
Lucid Musician releases LucidHarmony version 1 2 0 AI harmony generator for Mac and Windows Pay What You Want with free download
Expiry: None
Lucid Musician has released LucidHarmony version 1.2.0, an AI-based harmony generator for macOS and Windows.
The software is designed to generate harmonies from musical input using artificial intelligence. It is intended to assist with arrangement and composition tasks by creating additional harmonic parts.
This plugin uses a custom AI model trained on thousands of musical compositions to generate chord progressions based on classical harmony and voice-leading principles. It creates fully randomized four-part chord sequences with instant generation, letting users quickly explore harmonic ideas without needing music theory knowledge.
The tool offers deep configuration, MIDI drag-and-drop to the DAW, and a Harmony Explorer interface for shaping sequences while still benefiting from the AI’s harmonic guidance. It’s designed for fast workflow and can be used for anything from ambient textures to choral backdrops.
LucidHarmony 1.2.0 is available under a Pay What You Want model, with a free download option.
Platform support includes Mac and Windows. The developer did not publish a detailed change log or technical specifications for this release at the time of announcement.
