WA Production offers Presser compressor plugin as free download for Mac and Windows with code TBC100
Expiry: September 6th
W. A. Production is offering Presser, a compressor plugin developed in collaboration with producer Aiden Kenway, as a free download for macOS and Windows using the code TBC100. The plugin is available in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats.
Presser is designed for dynamic range control and tone shaping in mixing and sound design. It combines standard compression tools with additional character and detection options aimed at drums, bass, vocals, buses, and full mixes.
Character section
The Glue control adjusts how the compressor reacts, ranging from fast peak compression at 0% to bus-style “glue” at 100% for more sustained gain reduction. Punch introduces transient emphasis via a built-in dynamic EQ, useful for making kicks, snares, and basslines more defined. Heat adds saturation both before and after the compression stage, with a continuously variable amount from subtle to heavier distortion.
Detector options
Channel Link sets how much the left and right channels influence each other, allowing fully independent or linked stereo processing. A High-Pass filter in the detection path reduces low-frequency pumping. External sidechain is supported, with a variable control that blends from internal detection (0%) to sidechain input only (100%), enabling a range of ducking and rhythmic effects.
Core compression controls
Ratio, Threshold, Attack, Release, and Makeup Gain are included for detailed control of the compression envelope and output level.
Mixing and output
A Mix control enables parallel compression by blending dry and compressed signals. The plugin provides Input and Output level controls, a switchable Limiter on the output, and a smoothed Bypass for click-free A/B comparisons.
Visual feedback
Real-time meters display input, gain reduction, and output activity to monitor changes as they occur through the processing chain.
Presets and workflow
Presser includes artist-curated factory presets categorized for different sources and processing approaches. The interface is resizable and supports A/B/Copy for comparing settings. A PDF manual and tutorial video are included.

Audio Plugin Guy Launches Free Web Based Euclidean Rhythm Generator
Expiry: None
Audio Plugin Guy has released a free, browser-based Euclidean Rhythm Generator that layers up to six patterns and exports MIDI or audio. Version 3.0 runs in a web browser and includes file save/load, per-layer controls, and a visualizer for pattern playback.

The generator uses the Euclidean algorithm described by Bjorklund (1999) and applied to music by Toussaint (2005) to distribute a chosen number of hits as evenly as possible across a set number of steps. Common examples include E(3,8) for tresillo, E(5,16) for the 3-2 son clave, and E(7,12) for the Bembé bell. Each layer displays its E(k,n,r) formula when hovered.
Each of the six layers provides Steps (total slots), Hits (active pulses), and Rotation (pattern offset). Rotation is essential for specific named rhythms, such as E(5,8,2) for cinquillo. Clicking a layer name mutes or unmutes it; right-click solos the layer and toggles back to restore all mutes. A per-layer Randomize button shuffles steps, hits, and rotation. Copy/Paste transfers patterns between layers without altering mute states. A lock option excludes the layer from the global Randomize All while keeping its own randomize active. Layer volume cycles between three levels: −6 dB, −3 dB, and 0 dB.
Custom samples can replace the built-in synthesized sound on any layer. Users can load a WAV or FLAC up to two seconds; the filename appears in the layer header. Right-clicking Load clears the sample and reverts to the default sound. Samples are session-only; saving or loading a .rhythm file stores only the pattern data, leaving loaded samples unchanged.
A circular visualizer shows six concentric rings (outermost is Layer 1, innermost is Layer 6). Filled dots indicate hits and hollow dots indicate rests. A cursor tracks playback around each ring. The loop length readout beneath the visualizer displays in bars, beats, or steps, based on which unit resolves cleanly for the current configuration.
Users can build polyrhythms by assigning different step counts to different layers. Combinations such as E(3,8) + E(7,12) + E(5,16) repeat only when their cycles align, producing long-form patterns derived from simple inputs.
Export options include MIDI and WAV. MIDI export creates a Type-0 file: active layers are written as General MIDI percussion notes on channel 10, spanning one complete cycle calculated as the least common multiple of all active step counts (capped at 128 steps). WAV export renders the current loop at full quality, using the built-in sounds or any loaded samples, with a 30-second cap. Muted layers are excluded from export.
The transport provides Play controls, BPM adjustment, and a global step rate selector from 1/32 to 1/4. A History system supports Undo and Redo. A set of preset example rhythms loads verified Euclidean patterns; the active preset remains highlighted until any parameter changes. Keyboard shortcuts include Undo (Ctrl/⌘ Z), Redo (Ctrl/⌘ Shift Z), and Escape to close informational panels.
The interface includes a global Randomize All, plus Save and Load for .rhythm pattern files. A Drum/Note mode switch is available for alternate playback behavior and MIDI note handling. The tool was built by Audio Plugin Guy with Codex and Claude.

OVNI Audio releases Supernova audio reactive visual synth plugin and standalone for Mac with free installers
Expiry: November 23rd
OVNI Audio has released Supernova, an audio‑reactive visual synthesizer available as a VST3 and AU plug‑in and as a standalone macOS application. It transforms images, image sequences, or video into a particle field that responds to sound in real time.
The engine runs 262,144 GPU particles that sample the loaded media and move under forces derived from audio analysis, including onsets, frequency bands, and RMS. Visuals are composited in linear HDR and resolved with an ACES tonemap. Rendering features include order‑independent additive blending for 3D cutouts, signed‑distance‑field glyphs, velocity trails, and GPU nearest‑neighbor plexus links.
Supernova operates in two modes. As a plug‑in, it acts as a read‑only audio tap: the signal passes through unaltered while being analyzed to drive the visuals. As a standalone app, it captures macOS system audio via Apple’s ScreenCaptureKit (macOS 13 or later) without additional drivers. On first launch, the app requests Screen Recording permission to enable capture.
Users can drag in a photo, an image sequence, or a video, then select from 50 preset “worlds” that swap physics, geometry, and color in one step. An Intensity control acts as a master response amount for the system.
Controls are organized into four domains:
- Movement: flow, chaos, gravity, and related dynamics
- Matter: particle size, trails, plexus links, and glyphs
- Camera: 3D depth, rotation, and orbit parameters
- Color: look adjustments and ramp selection
The Color Lab provides 17 OKLab‑based ramps. A 3D cutout of the subject can be rotated and integrated with the particle field. MIDI note input can trigger events such as bursts and directional rays, allowing visuals to be played rhythmically from a keyboard or sequencer.
Output options include a resizable window, fullscreen display on any connected monitor, and frame sharing over Syphon for use in compatible macOS applications such as OBS or Resolume. For capture, Supernova can record MP4 (H.264) with the audio muxed in sync. The exporter includes several aspect ratio presets and a custom duration setting from 1 to 600 seconds.
Platform support covers macOS 11 and newer on both Apple Silicon and Intel, with Metal graphics required. Installers are signed and notarized. Formats include VST3, AU, and a standalone application.
Supernova is distributed under the AGPLv3 license. According to OVNI Audio, the source code will remain available under AGPLv3, and ready‑to‑use installers are free until November 23, 2026, after which the installer pack is planned to be priced at US$15. A manual and a technical sheet are provided.

OVNI Audio releases Orbit free binaural movement plugin for Windows and Mac
Expiry: None
OVNI Audio has released Orbit, a free, open-source binaural movement plugin for macOS and Windows under the AGPLv3 license. It is available as VST3 and Audio Unit on macOS (universal, macOS 11 or later) and as VST3 on Windows (64-bit, Windows 10 or later).
Orbit provides binaural spatialization and motion for audio sources. Users can position sound in three-dimensional space, create circular orbits, or perform flybys with Doppler rendering. Output supports headphones and speakers, with an option that maintains mono compatibility.
Key features
- Radar control for angle and distance, enabling 3D placement from a single screen.
- Real Doppler based on modulated propagation delay, with zero added latency and no pitch-shifting.
- Rate and Speed controls: free rates from 0.05 to 8 Hz, tempo-sync from 1/4 note to 1 bar, or fixed positioning via Fixed Angle.
- Chaos mode for irregular motion with speed and azimuth variation.
- Width and Room parameters combining ear-shadow width with decorrelated early reflections to externalize the image.
- Output modes for headphones or speakers, plus an In Phase option that guarantees mono compatibility.
Audio engine
- Variable-position HRIR spatializer with two bracketing voices, crossfaded and driven by fractional-delay interaural time differences for click-free movement.
- Near-field model (Duda–Martens) for sub‑meter distances, producing bass bloom and asymmetric ear shadowing.
- Externalization through decorrelated early reflections to reduce interaural coherence.
- Speaker playback via RACE crosstalk cancellation; In Phase disables it for mono-safe output.
- Clip-safe, zero-latency stereo-linked sample-peak limiter (ceiling 0.85), yielding measured true-peak around −1.2 dBFS.
- Baked HRIR derived from the CIPIC database, subject 003.
Installation
macOS: download the installer package and double-click to install VST3 and AU into the system plug-in folders. The installer is unsigned; if blocked, open it via the context menu on macOS 14 or earlier, or allow it in Privacy & Security on macOS 15 or later. When installing from a catalog disk image, manual removal of the quarantine attribute may be required as documented in the image.
Windows: download the ZIP, unblock it in file properties, extract Orbit.vst3 to the Common Files/VST3 directory, and proceed if prompted by SmartScreen. Rescan plug-ins in the DAW.
Build from source
Orbit is a JUCE project in a Pamplejuce layout. Clone the repository with submodules, generate a Release build with CMake and Ninja, and run the included tests. Submodules include JUCE, CMake helpers, melatonin_inspector, and clap-juce-extensions. Since version 0.1.1, builds use only JUCE and no proprietary libraries. Releases ship AU and VST3; CLAP is disabled.
License and attributions
Distributed under the GNU AGPLv3. Third‑party attributions cover JUCE, the CIPIC HRIR dataset, embedded fonts, and the Pamplejuce template.
Applications
The plugin can place and move sources in binaural 3D, create orbits and flyby effects with Doppler, externalize headphone mixes, prepare speaker playback with crosstalk cancellation, and maintain mono compatibility for broadcast or fold-down scenarios.
Limbus Audio Offers Free Limbus Spatial Stage Visual Spatial Mixing Plugin And Standalone For Mac And Windows
Expiry: Unknown
Limbus Audio has released Limbus Spatial Stage as a free download for Mac and Windows. The system includes two plugins and a standalone desktop application. The plugins are available in VST3 (Windows/macOS) and Audio Unit (macOS). The original price was 49.90€; the current price is 0.00€.
Limbus Spatial Stage presents a front-view stage where users place and move all sources to set panorama and depth. Each source can display its own live spectrum. The workflow centers on two components: Spatial Sender on each source track, and Spatial Stage Master on a bus or the master.
Spatial Sender exposes horizontal position, depth, plugin enable/mute/solo, automatic or manual track metadata, a zero-latency five-band EQ, and optional compressor/expander. With EQ, dynamics, REALISM, and SPACE disabled, it performs constant-power panning and adjustable, frequency-neutral distance attenuation. If the track’s host bus is mono, the Sender is published as mono and locked to center; only vertical movement changes depth and volume. Switching the track to stereo re-enables horizontal placement.
Spatial Stage Master collects all active Senders on a clean front-view stage. Each object can show a discrete live spectrum with the track’s color identity. A lower strip, in compact or expanded layout with lateral scrolling, keeps all live Senders locatable. New Senders arrive muted in the lower strip and are dragged onto the stage to place and activate them. Deleting a card from the stage mutes that track immediately. Multiple objects can be selected and moved as a group while preserving relative spacing, and focus can be locked to a selection.
Double-clicking any object switches to a per-track detail view with a logarithmic 20 Hz–20 kHz grid, a −72 to 0 dBFS scale, summaries for lows/mids/highs, spectral history, and the live EQ response. With multiple tracks selected, the detail view links them and EQ/dynamics edits copy to all.
REALISM and SPACE are independent, optional modes. REALISM adjusts stereo width between 80% and 120%, reduces high-air content with depth, applies a low-shelf up to −2.4 dB at the far end, and adds up to 11% near-field proximity at the front. It uses no compression, tone processing, or saturation. SPACE is a network of early and late reflections whose mix, damping, and feedback increase with depth. Room size scales within safe ranges from small to more open. The Master distributes the choice, but each Sender processes its own response so individual sources remain distinct before summing.
FAR LEVEL ranges from −6 to −36 dB and sets background attenuation while keeping the front at unity gain. It works with or without REALISM and does not color the signal.
Console Glue can be applied on the Master’s summed bus. At 0% it is a sample-accurate bypass. Increasing the control introduces a stereo-linked detector, a gain-reduction model up to 4.5 dB, contained odd-harmonic symmetry, conservative compensation, and a soft output ceiling. It is an original algorithm, not a model or emulation.
Each Sender’s fixed pre-spatial EQ provides five bands: a 12 dB/oct high-pass, three parametric bells with ±18 dB and Q from 0.2 to 12, and a 12 dB/oct low-pass. Each node has its own switch, and the whole EQ has an automatable bypass. Latency is zero samples. Nodes adjust by dragging horizontally for frequency, vertically for gain, and with the mouse wheel for Q.
The dynamics section includes threshold, ratio, attack, release, makeup, and mix. Ratio spans 0.5:1 to 30:1; above 1:1 it compresses above threshold, and below 1:1 it performs upward expansion. By default it listens to the track’s own post-EQ signal, but the internal sidechain can use any other live Sender as a trigger. Multiple Senders can feed the detector, each with its own send level from −60 to +12 dB. No DAW sends, busses, or shared buffers are created; scalar detector feeds are combined by RMS energy.
Dragging objects on the stage writes continuous automation for each selected Sender, closing when released. A normal drag writes panorama and volume; a modifier key writes only one and locks the other. The Master exposes 128 stable parameter pairs, and each card shows its corresponding number, so only the Master track needs write enable.
The installer includes a standalone workstation that operates without a DAW. It manages its own audio interface, file import and transport, four inserts per channel and four pre-master, per-track reverb and delay sends, a stereo meter, and a master fader. It hosts third-party VST3 plugins via a scanner that tests each bundle in a separate helper process, isolating faulty plugins. Projects save as .lss files with source media, colors, each Sender’s EQ/dynamics state, stage positions, sends, and insert routes. The app provides a navigable timeline with millisecond timecode, automation record/playback, and stereo WAV export at 16, 24, or 32-bit.
A single 64-bit Windows 10/11 installer includes both VST3 plugins and the desktop app. On macOS, VST3 and Audio Unit are delivered as a universal binary for Intel and Apple Silicon, plus the app. The interface offers light and dark themes and saves size and preferences with the session.
