Analog Obsession Releases UREQ, a Free EQ Plugin

Analog Obsession, known for its high-quality audio plugins, has launched UREQ, a free EQ plugin compatible with both Mac and Windows systems. This new offering simplifies the classic equalizer, making it easy to use and enjoyable to interact with. In addition to its core features, the plugin also includes a gain compensated input, allowing users to achieve a pleasing saturation from line amps and filter circuit.

The UREQ plugin features a U-Style stripped-down classic equalizer. The developer modeled it in SPICE to keep it simple, adding all features in their own design, but only the simulation in the plugin. This EQ has different Q values up to frequencies and gain, a unique feature that the developer wanted to highlight.

Among the key features of the UREQ plugin are switchable low, low mid, high mid, and high bands with various frequency options and a range of +/-16dB. It also includes an 80Hz high pass filter and a 12kHz low pass filter. The INPUT & OUTPUT feature offers a range of +/-16dB, with a gain compensated input. For ease of use, the plugin supports touchscreen and has a resizable interface that can be adjusted from 50% to 200% using the simple “Bottom Right Corner Handle”.
