Full Bucket Music, a renowned free software developer, has recently launched Ny, a free virtual instrument plugin designed for both Windows and macOS. The new software is a close emulation of the classic KORG Lambda ES-50 Polyphonic Ensemble, a popular music synthesizer from 1979.
Ny is written in native C++ code, ensuring high performance and low CPU consumption. It supports both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Windows and macOS. The plugin is compatible with VST2, VST3, CLAP for Windows, and VST2, VST3, CLAP, AU for macOS.
This new virtual instrument plugin offers a close simulation of the original hardware, providing users with a nostalgic yet modern music production experience. The software boasts 64 voices polyphony, percussive and ensemble sections, and a chorus (phase) effect.
One of the standout features of Ny is its large number of tweakable parameters, allowing users to customize their sounds to a great extent. It also comes with a resizable user interface, providing a comfortable and flexible workspace for music producers.
Moreover, Ny supports MIDI Learn, meaning all parameters can be controlled by MIDI CC. This feature can be particularly useful for those who prefer using MIDI controllers for music production.
For those interested in harnessing the capabilities of the classic KORG Lambda ES-50 Polyphonic Ensemble in a modern, digital format, the Ny virtual instrument plugin by Full Bucket Music is available for free download.
