Linda Audio, a renowned name in the music industry, has launched a new free shimmer reverb and delay effect plugin for Windows, named Stargazer. This innovative plugin is designed to transform any sound into an ethereal shimmering soundscape, string-like or organ-like ensemble.

Stargazer is not just a traditional shimmer reverb design. It is a network of delays, each of which generates short pitch-shifted grains of sound that are fed back into the delay network. Users can scale the delay network from two to thirteen delay lines. With fewer lines, the delay effect is pronounced and delay taps are clearly noticeable. However, with thirteen delays, the sound achieves great density and smoothness.
The plugin offers customizable delay time (size), predelay and feedback, damping filter control, hi pass filter and stereo width. Additionally, the sound can be modulated with a chorus effect and a special modulation called Organize. This modulation filters and modulates the input in a way that makes the sound character more like a pipe organ, with a choice of two different modes.
The grain generator in Stargazer is also customizable, allowing users to adjust grain size, feedback of pitch-shifted signal and its mix with normal signal. Users can select if the pitch will be shifted an octave up or down and choose if the attack (build-up) of the pitched signal will be fast or slower. The plugin also includes global dry and wet control.
For ease of use, Stargazer provides undo, redo, A/B and 15 presets. This makes it an ideal tool for any ambient music, but it can also be used for many other genres and use cases. It works great with guitars as well as with synths or can be used for some unique sound effects design.
