Rewired Records has launched SideKick2, a free sidechain plugin for Windows users. This FX plugin is designed to automate the volume of your sounds, making it an ideal tool for creating the EDM Sidechain effect or Trance Gates.
The SideKick2 plugin is available for 64 Bit Windows systems and comes in a VST3 format. Installation is straightforward; users need to place the .vst3 file into their VST3 Folder. Typically, this folder is located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3.
An important note for users is that this VST requires ‘Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013’. If not already installed, this package can be downloaded for free from the Microsoft website at https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=40784.
