Steinberg, a renowned name in the music software and hardware industry, has launched a new virtual instrument called Taped Vibes. This electric piano instrument is available for free and is compatible with both HALion and the free HALion Sonic 7 player.
Taped Vibes is a unique virtual instrument that reinvents the iconic electric piano. It provides a smooth, jazzy, and laid-back spin to the traditional sound. The instrument was sampled using the old tape of a Space Echo, a vintage pre-amp, and a high-quality DI box. This offers musicians the flexibility to produce a range of sounds, from buttery soul to gritty funk or even chilled lofi.
This free HALion instrument is a sample from an original, studio-used Wurli 200A. It has been sampled in three different ways: DI, taped, and pre-amped. This allows for a broad spectrum of sound variations and possibilities. The Taped Vibes instrument includes selected FX and a random function for creating endless new sound variations.
Steinberg’s Taped Vibes is compatible with the free HALion Sonic in various DAWs including Cubase, Ableton Live, FL Studio, and Logic Pro. To assist users in understanding the creation process of the instrument, Steinberg has also launched a new tutorial series. These step-by-step guides will help users understand how the instrument was created and how to make the most of it.
There is no expiry date for this offer, making it a valuable addition to any musician’s toolkit. Interested users can download Taped Vibes for free from Steinberg’s official website and start exploring its unique sound capabilities.
