All the sounds in Noctua have been designed, recorded, and processed by Venus Theory to encapsulate the raw and visceral world of cinematic sound design. The sounds are divided into three categories. The ‘Effects Box’ sounds are derived from a variety of analog and digital hardware synthesizers processed through boutique pedals and custom digital FX. The ‘EMF’ sounds are based on EMF recordings, which are transformed and multi-sampled using a variety of techniques and effect chains to create usable sonic instruments. Lastly, ‘Analog’ serves as a morphable raw source, providing users with a deep pool of sonic possibilities and textural exploration.
