VB-Audio has introduced a new audio routing application for Windows, named Matrix. The application, which is donationware (pay what you want), is free to use and offers a comprehensive audio framework to connect all your audio devices and applications seamlessly.

The VB-Audio Matrix allows users to connect multiple ASIO devices, Windows devices, audio applications, and DAWs, as well as multiple computers. It provides the ability to manage, route, and mix all audio streams together, channel by channel. This ranges from your USB microphone to any ASIO devices, and from your ASIO device to any audio applications. It also includes routing to or from Voicemeeter to Discord, Zoom, or Ableton Live, to or from all other computers, thanks to VBAN streaming features.
The application comes as a standalone application and virtual audio device that supports MME, DX, WDM, ASIO interfaces and is compatible with Windows 10 and 11 (64 bit versions). The current version available for download is VB-Audio Matrix 1.0.0.5, available in a ZIP package.
Although VBMatrix is free to use without any functional limitations, users are encouraged to make a donation if they find the application useful. The suggested donation range is from $5 to $50. After 30 days of use, the VBMatrix about box will prompt users to either buy a license or continue to evaluate the program.
The VBMatrix application does not require an internet connection and does not collect any user data. It originates from France, further emphasizing VB-Audio’s commitment to user privacy and data security.
For those interested in exploring new audio routing options, the VB-Audio Matrix application is available for download and testing.
