ViatorDSP has recently released a new plugin called Graphic EQ. This graphic EQ plugin is available for free or at a pay-what-you-want (PWYW) price, making it accessible for both professionals and amateur audio enthusiasts. It’s compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems.
The Graphic EQ plugin is designed to emulate the classic character of analog EQ hardware, enhancing the audio processing experience in digital audio workstations. It features a dynamic filter bandwidth, a unique feature that adjusts the filter bandwidth based on the gain, ensuring an accurate representation of analog hardware behavior. This feature provides users with precise control over their audio, allowing for a harmonically pleasing and organic sound.
Additionally, the Graphic EQ plugin offers 10 bands of equalization. Each band is optimized to cover a broad frequency range, providing users with the flexibility to shape their audio with surgical precision. This feature is particularly useful for taming problematic frequencies and enhancing essential elements in the audio.
The plugin also includes built-in lowpass and highpass filters, useful tools for crafting smooth transitions and eliminating unwanted noise in the audio. The input and output controls are user-friendly and intuitive, ensuring a seamless workflow for audio professionals. The plugin also features a real-time VU meter, providing accurate visual feedback and allowing users to monitor their audio’s dynamics during the mixing process.
ViatorDSP has announced plans for a paid version of the Graphic EQ plugin, which will include a host of new features. Users interested in this plugin can download it from the ViatorDSP website. For Windows users, the plugin is available in a 64-bit VST3 format, while Mac users can choose between a Universal (Rosetta and Silicon) Audio Unit (component) and a 64-bit VST3 format.
The Graphic EQ plugin by ViatorDSP provides an opportunity for users to experience the classic character of analog EQ hardware in their digital audio workstations. Its unique features and user-friendly interface make it a valuable addition to any audio professional’s toolkit.
