About Cherry Audio Mercury-4
The Cherry Audio Mercury-4 Synthesizer is an electronic music instrument that is a perfect digital recreation of the original Roland Jupiter-4 synthesizer released in 1978. This innovative instrument combines voice-assign polyphony and digital patch storage, allowing musicians to store and recall sounds at the touch of a button.
The Mercury-4 replicates the Jupiter-4’s distinctly powerful oscillator and filter tonality, whilst addressing the original instrument’s limitations. It offers up to 16-voice polyphony, infinite patch storage, easy patch editing, and more. It also replicates the famous Roland stereo chorus and introduces a new “Space Echo”-style tape echo with multiple reverb modes.
The instrument’s key features include:
- An authentically modelled oscillator with a sub-oscillator
- Powerful low-frequency resonance in the modelled filter characteristics
- Over 300 presets programmed by industry veterans
- Exact replication of the unique arpeggio section with tempo sync
- Wide-range LFO modulation with “inverted” mod characteristics
- Drift control for added analogue realism
- Precisely replicated stereo ensemble effect
- Warm, organic tape echo with multiple reverb modes
- Tempo-syncable LFO
- Detunable unison mode and single-key chord memory mode
- Highly optimized coding for high performance with ultra-low CPU load
