FabFilter Pro-R 2 is a top-rated professional reverb plugin with innovative features and exceptional sound quality. It introduces comprehensive multichannel compatibility up to 9.1.6 Dolby Atmos, two new reverb algorithms, and the ability to import and recreate impulse responses (IRs). The plugin also includes ducking and gating functions, analog-style saturation, and much more, making it a significant technological and functional leap forward.

With its Full Immersive Audio Support feature, you can place reverbs in three-dimensional space, providing an exceptionally convincing sense of space. The plugin automatically configures for multichannel formats and allows you to apply individual Decay Rate and Post EQ bands to any combination of channels, making it straightforward to balance the relative levels of every reverb parameter.

The new Vintage and Plate Reverb Styles expand the possibilities of the Pro-R, adding two new algorithms for diverse retro flavors. The Vintage style is inspired by classic digital reverb units of the ’80s and ’90s, ideal for long, bright, hyper-real spatial ambiences. The Plate style perfectly captures the evocative metallic sound of plate reverb, making it perfect for drums and vocals.

With the Impulse Response (IR) Import feature, Pro-R 2 gives you the ability to import IRs and have them automatically recreated as algorithmic setups. This feature opens a whole new world of possibilities, whether you want to use the vast array of free IRs available online or capture and emulate your favorite vocal booth, drum room, or hardware reverb.

Pro-R 2 also provides a range of extended reverb parameters and controls, allowing you to design dream reverbs. From setting the wet signal level to drop whenever the dry signal is present with the Ducking control to capturing and holding the tail indefinitely with the Freeze button, Pro-R 2 has everything you need to realize your reverberation goals.

The Full-Featured Preset Browser is a great improvement on the simple hierarchical menu of Pro-R, making it easier than ever to navigate and manage the factory library and user presets. Assign editable tags for filtered searching, set presets as favorites for one-click filtering, and add author names and text descriptions. If the original Pro-R is installed, all its presets appear in Pro-R 2’s library as well.
